About the project

SECURECHAIN is a renewable energy project supported by the European Union’s research and innovation programme ‘Horizon 2020’ under the Grant Agreement no. 646457. The total EC contribution is 1.81 million Euros. The project runs from 01.04.2015 to 31.03.2018. The main goal is to promote sustainable bioenergy chains in the rural area, which fulfil high environmental standards and are economically viable for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME).

The consortium comprises 10 organisations in Austria, The Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, Greece, Estonia and the United Kingdom experienced in research, technical development and market promotion of sustainable bioenergy solutions. The project coordinator is BTG Biomass Technology Group BV, Enschede, the Netherlands.
