Visit of the biogas plant in Climate Protection Community Strem
10 March 2017: In the framework of the Austrian study tour, a visit was made to Strem.
The Strem biogas plant combines heat and power based on a fermentation process with grass, corn, maize silage and glover. There is also a district heating facility for one village in the area nearby that uses the waste heat of the biogas plant together with wood combustion. In addition, the participants visited the photovoltaic plants in Strem with 150 kWp financed by a public participation model
