Open event/discussion Learning Lab in Grevena, Greece

Monday, 26 June 2017: The open event/discussion Learning Lab was organized under the auspices of the Municipality of Grevena. The Vice Mayor of Grevena Mr Trigonis expressed the great interest for the wider area of the Municipality of Grevena for Biomass District Heating Systems. Then, Mr. Efthimios Giagozoglou, representative of Technical Chamber of Greece, Dept. of Western Macedonia, made a short presentation of the prefeasibility study of the biomass district heating of Grevena city. Mr. Göran Gustavsson representative of the Energikontor Sydost AB (ESS, Sweden) and Mr. Patrick Reumerman, representative of the Biomass Technology Group BV (BTG, The Netherlands), presented best practice biomass district heating networks in Sweden and in The Netherlands, respectively.

Pr. George Ntalos, representative of the Technical University of Thessaly, Dpt. of Wood and Furniture Design and Technology, presented the impressions and lessons learnt from the SecureChain benchmarking visit in Austria. At the end, a discussion panel was coordinated by the two representatives of CluBE, Dr. Yannis Fallas and Nikolaos Ntavos. The discussion that followed was interesting and constructive.
